Visits to the Mountain

Lots of Trips to The Mountain

Mount St Helens is one place I really enjoy going back to. For a while, I was heading there on average of once a month, although most times, I wouldn’t bring my camera, instead bringing a book, usually my Bible, and sit and read, enjoying the quiet mornings before the tourists showed up, generally leaving when they did. It was a great way to start out a Saturday, and a great way to see the incredible changes that have taken place over the years.

I live quite a bit farther away, now, and I haven’t been going there nearly as much… but its still a trip I enjoy, and one I won’t pass up should the opportunity present itself! A trip to The Mountain is always a fun thing! Each time you go, there’s something new to see!

Visits to The Mountain:

I’ve been there for many, many sunrises. I also went on other times, and sometimes I brought my camera and stayed a bit longer to look around and take pictures.

(Note: I’m still porting my “currently” pages from my old website, so not all of them are here, yet.)

Without realizing it… I documented one spot at the mountain fairly completely… at a location near the mountain, a truck damaged by the mudflows on the Toutle was out on display… I would stop there and take a picture here whenever I brought someone with me to see the mountain… sort of a stop on my “private tour”, if you will… Its interesting to see the changes…
