Play Ball!

After opening the season in Japan, the Mariners and since the Red Sox were coming to town, we decided to take in the home opener.

I left work a bit early, and took a bus into town to the stadium.  I think I could get used to this.  =]

Seattle’s distinctive skyline was very welcoming.

T-Mobile Park will take some getting used to…. its been Safeco Field for 20 years.

I beat the family there, so I checked out the broadcast booth for “The Home of Seattle Sports”

I know this looks like s selfie witht he T-Mobile Park sign… but I’m actually trying to take a shot of something, not realizing I was in selfie mode… I unfortunately have been seeing more and more of these.

I guess in a few years I’ll be used to it, but for now, all the magenta seems out of place.

Before too long, the family made it to the stadium.  The not-so-little-guy had difficulty picking between the Mariners and the Red Sox.  =]

NICE

It was awesome to be at the first game of 2019 at the park.

The line-up was awesome, as always!

Baseball is back!

Baseball is back!

We had a great time.  The Mariners are in a rebuild period – only 1 starter this year started last year!  It was nice to see all the new players, and nice to see them play well.

It also was awesome to get to watch the Red Sox play in person… always a real treat!

The Mariners won pretty handily, but we had a great time anyway.
