End of an Era

The not so little guy completed his run as a Cub Scout.

The last pack meeting is interesting, because the boy scouts come, and explain the process of moving through Cub Scouts, and on into Boy Scouts.   The troop our pack normally fed into dissolved several years ago, so the troops in the region each pitched their troop as the one to flow into.

A high point for him was the Arrow of Light award.  He worked hard for it!

He stopped on the crossover bridge… his last few seconds as a Cub Scout.

He received his new patches and emblems from his new Troop.  He’s already chosen the Troop he’s going to flow into.

The new Boy Scouts pose with other members of their new Troop.

He said he felt sad as he officiated his final closing ceremony.  His little brother is a Tiger, and will carry on in the Pack until he, too, moves on to Boy Scouts – he can’t wait!

Friends for life.  These guys have been Cub Scouts, and are glad their paths will cross again as Boy Scouts, even if they don’t all pick the same Troop.

Posing with his Den Leader for the final time… she’s really put in a lot of work, and is a great family friend.
