We had a wind storm that knocked down a tree across the street from us, taking out the pole that feeds our house. Another pole went down at the entrance to our community, and another pole was ripped out and leaning.
I didn’t hear it come down… apparently I’m not a very light sleeper. =]
We were without power for 4 days… it would have seemed a LOT longer if we didn’t have a generator! It was a welcome day when the lights came back on!
Our roof was damaged so the not so little guy and I went up there and repaired it. While up there, we cleaned out the gutters…
Adding insult to injury… we received a dusting of snow during the outage.
We hadn’t used the generator in a while… I’m sure glad we had it!
After 4 days, we FINALLY saw a happy site! Power came back on, and we rejoined the 21st century.
