We ALWAYS get a good amount of rain this time of year, but this year, it has been quite a bit heavier than normal, which is causing some rivers, including the Snoqualmie, to head toward their Flood Phases. The Snoqualmie is at “Flood Phase 2”, and there are a few days left to go of heavy rains yet. The littlest guy and I had some free time, so we went to check out the flood waters, and see what we could see.
We went out to the “black bridge”, and checked it out. The Snoqualmie is nearing Flood Phase 3, so it was pretty interesting to watch…
There’s a LOT of water!
While we were there, a log came down the river…
The river is still rising. It will be interesting to see just how high it will get before the heavy rains clear out!
Before heading home, we checked out the falls, where all this water was going… it was quite striking!
