20 years!?

As amazing as it sounds, it was 20 years since we got back from desert storm. My unit decided to throw a 20-year reunion in junction city, kansas.

The flight was pretty smooth! Couldn’t have asked for a better weather to fly.

The thing that surprised me is that I recognize so much of the roadway between Kansas City and fort riley!

I had to stop by the atomic cannon. When I was in the army, I used to come here and eat lunch and enjoy the view.

Junction City didn’t look all that much different. I guess some things don’t change all that much. 🙂

We had a barbecue to kick things off. It was awesome!

Moon lake looked a little different, but it also looked the way it did back when I would come here on the weekends.

The opportunity to see old friends made the trip worth it.

This is Saint Xavier’s. I was baptized here.

Fort Riley is it interesting post with a very long history. Some of these buildings date back to Custer

Fort Riley was the home of many cavalry soldiers, Custer being likely the most famous.

At the end, colonel fontenot think major light for organizing everything.

Landing back in Seattle, I was happy to see The familiar rains and the cool temperatures. I had a good time with kansas, but it was as hot dry and sunny as I remembered!
