We visited an old Viking household. The building was restored, and during the restoration process they found a buried boat that was in remarkable condition. They used it to make a recreation which was on display. The original was moved to a safe place and a museum someplace.
Iceland is not the most hospitable place! It was interesting to see how it may have been when the Vikings queued out a home for themselves on this beer cold Rock.
This boat was the same style and size used by Leif Ericson to discover the island, and the Americas.
